Madagascar
Subsidiary Launched
SunTank
to launch a subsidiary in Madagascar to support a growing network
of
local distributors
Pretoria
17 March 2006. SunTank's export drive in Madagascar started
in 2002. The political changes
the country experienced over the
past few years improved trading conditions and the demand for SunTank
systems had been growing steadily.
A number of
local distributors have recently expressed their need for a better
flow of supplies from South
Africa in order to overcome the logistical
interruptions still prevalent in the country.
The company
decided to set up a central distribution facility in Antananarivo.
The facility will take care of
all import processes and will carry
sufficient stock levels to allow local distributors to draw on demand.
The set-up process of the new subsidiary is all but completed and
local distributors are looking forward to
start utilising the wareousing
and logistical support which the company is planning to offer.
Neriel Hurwitz,
SunTank's Marketing Director says: "Boosting our operation in Madagascar
is part of our
expansion plan intothe Indian Ocean region. This
region, like our sub-Sahara market faces severe energy
challenges
and is an ideal market for SunTank's products and services. Our
investment in Madagascar
will contribute to a rapid adoption of
the technology in the country"
